On the iPad, tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner to call up the settings screen. If your iPad and computer(s) aren't on the same local network, you will need to use Splashtop's Internet discovery feature. From Splashtop Remote Desktop's main screen, you can choose which remote PCs to access. Tap on the computer listed, enter your passcode, and you'll gain remote access to the system.

Return to your iPad, and if the iPad and your PC or Mac are on the same local network, you'll see it listed on Splashtop's main screen.

You'll need to install Splashtop Streamer on any PC or Mac to which you'd like to gain remote access. After you install Splashtop Streamer, you'll be asked to enter a passcode, which you'll use on your iPad to remotely access the system. Go to the Splashtop Web site, where you'll find Splashtop Streamer for either Windows or Macs (including a beta version for Max OS X Lion). After installing the Splashtop Remote Desktop app on your iPad, you will need to install a small application on the PCs and Macs you'd like to remotely access. In this brief tutorial, I'll show you how it works. It installs quickly and is dead simple to use. At its current discounted price of $4.99 (down from its standard $19.99 price), Splashtop Remote Desktop might be the least expensive way to gain remote access to a PC or Mac from an iPad. If you experience the issue again, please use the link to download beta streamer, and see if it helps. If you remove both the app and streamer, then re-install them, will it help? UPDATE: Thanks for the update, Steeeeo! We dig deeper and found this probably a sporadic issue and re-installing the streamer might not really fix it.

Did you connect to a macOS 10.13 device then experience the issue? We can't reproduce the issue but did receive couple feedback mentioning this when connecting to a macOS 10.13 device. As soon as I unlocked the iMac I was able to click. I tried to access it when I got home and logged in via my iPad and the iMac showed the lock screen, but on the App I was seeing the desktop but I could not click anything. If the screen of my iMac is unlocked it works, but as soon as the screen is locked or has gone to sleep I cannot click on anything. Only seems to work when on same Wi-fi network?

UPDATE 3: installed Beta and it worked when at home but still does not work when on a different Wi-fi network. UPDATE 2: Just tried to login to my Mac and the problem is back again. UPDATE: Since being contacted by the developer I am pleased to report that all is working again after doing suggested uninstall and reinstall. I hope this gets sorted soon as I miss it! Have not been able to use this since iOS 11Ĭan login ok but cannot get any further than that as you cannot click the mouse anymore.
